But it seems since sharing the first pictures of her baby Blue Ivy with her fans via her website, Beyoncé has developed a taste for the tech world.
The superstar singer today launched an expansive website for her fans and revealed the news by posting on her Twitter page for the very first time.

The tweet said: ‘Hey World, It's B! I'm so excited to invite you to my new http://beyonce.com - we've been working hard, and it's finally ready for you XO’
The state of the art website a vault of photo shoots, music videos and behind the scenes action, as well as a fan collective entitled Beyhive, a section dedicated to her music and a page of news stories.
However perhaps the most poignant part of the new venture is a section named I Am, which links to Beyoncé’s Tumblr account.

An introductory page reads: ‘This is my life, today, over the years – through my eyes. My family, my travels, my love. This is where I share with you, this will continue to grow as I do. Love Beyoncé.’
The images show the various parts of Beyoncé’s life, as a wife, mother, sister and performer.

Perhaps the most touching photos are those that depict Beyoncé’s family life, from showing her relaxing with little sister Solange to cuddling up to Jay-Z.
She can also be seen in video footage acting out a secret handshake with fellow former Destiny's Chilr member Michelle Williams.
The website fittingly describes itself: ‘Beyoncé welcomes you to a newly personal view into her world, for you, by her.’

The Beyhive section sees Beyoncé describing herself as the Queen Bey as she sweetly writes: 'The Queen Bee works day and night all year round (with the exception of elongated six-month breaks) to provide honey for all her bees. Her hard work pays off to produce perfection in everything she does.'
The collective is designed to be made for Beyoncé's admirers and as well as asking them 'Which Bey are you?', fan art of the star and tweets about her feature.
The vast website also includes an archive of Beyoncé's best performances for her fans to re-live.
