67 dead cats, 99 live at home, Officials said 67 dead cats and 99 living ones had to be removed from a filthy home in upstate New York. Authorities said they removed the animals Wednesday night from a home in Wright, near Albany.

The Times Union of Albany reported the dead cats were packed in plastic bags in the freezer and the live cats were in crates stacked from the floor to ceiling.

Deputies reportedly went to the home after a neighbor called to complain about the odor of cat urine and feces.

Possible charges are being weighed against 50-year-old Irene Vandyke, an office worker at a local Walmart store.
